Illinois American Water Issues Boil Water Order for City of Farmington

Boil Water Order in effect beginning Thursday, April 1, at 3 p.m.

Farmington, Ill. (31 de marzo de 2021) —Tomorrow, Illinois American Water will install a new high service pump at the Farmington Water Treatment Plant. This work will require a boil water order beginning at 3 p.m. tomorrow – jueves, 1 de abril de 2021.

This boil water order will be in effect for several days. If the project goes as planned, Illinois American Water expects to lift the boil water order on Saturday, April 3. Please note, the boil water order remains in effect until customers are notified that it has been lifted.

Customers are being notified about the boil water order via media outreach, customer calls and Illinois American Water website updates at www.illinoisamwater.com. Notification will be completed in the same manner when the boil water order is lifted or should additional action be required.

Landlords who handle the water service account for their tenants should pass on this information to their tenants.
